Why would you buy a Personal Registration?

Personal Registrations bring a great deal of enjoyment to many people whilst carrying out what is now a mundane activity that we all endure; that of motoring.....
....and not just for the driver of the car upon which the registration is placed.
Personally I enjoy motoring, but feel the frustration that we all do when stuck in a traffic jam. However, the matter of the traffic is soon lost when I notice that a car some way in front of me clearly has an interesting registration. I will squint and strain, push right up behind the car immediately in front of me and even lane hop (sorry!) just to get a proper glimpse of the regisration and to see if it's one I've seen before or a new one to me.
I have been looking at registrations for so long I now recognise people by the number plate on their car - it's just what I see first.
Number plates, as well as being names or initials can be humerous or topical and will often raise a good laugh in the high street when you car is parked in view of the public.
Investment
Many investors have turned to Personal Registrations as a soure of investment as they can become very sought after and can increase in value rapidly.
Many companies have acquired personal registrations as a source of advertisment as a good personal registration is always a good talking point and will make your company memorable.
A word of advise though if you are considering 'investing' in a registration.
A personal registration is a luxury item; and probably a little bit like a house, it is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. It is not a bad idea to use the housing market as a guide to personal registration values.... that is, in my opinion of course; other may take a very different view.
The fact that prices are currently falling (as at the time of writting) does not make them bad investments, it just means that you have to consider all aspects of an investment before taking the plunge.
